| ANELKA UPDATE: Why we sold him - Gartside
Ever so occasionally I kid myself that I belong to the ' It's how we play' rather than 'it's how many we score and whether we win' body of opinion, but it's not true, alas. I'm looking to you and your team to deliver returns to your shareholders and stakeholders and that's us, Phil, whether we have a financial interest in BWFC or not. I'll reserve judgment and will assess your ' business excellence' next February. You may fail- it's rough out there- but if you do, then be off with you to the wilderness with Big Sam. That's a business strategy!I wish you luck and a Happy New Year .
Florida primary puts McCain out front in GOP
McCain's previous triumphs this year, and in two states in 2000, came in elections open to independents as well as Republicans. Romney's only primary win so far was in Michigan, a state where he grew up and claimed a home-field advantage. He also has caucus victories to his credit in Wyoming and Nevada. A survey of voters as they left their polling places Tuesday indicated the economy was the top issue for nearly half. McCain led his rival among those voters, blunting Romney's effort to convince Floridians that his background as a businessman made him best suited for heading off a recession. McCain also benefited from the support of self-described moderates as well as older voters and Hispanics. Giuliani ran second among Latino voters, according to preliminary exit-poll data. About 40 percent of self-described conservatives supported Romney, compared with about 25 percent for McCain.

Pregnancy begets online nursery designs
West Valley resident Julie Tsuchiya decorates other people's homes for a living, but when she was six months pregnant with her first child, she had no enthusiasm for designing or personalizing her baby's living space. While dashing to department stores, home-improvement lots and Target, Tsuchiya developed her next interior-design project: a prepackaged baby room in a box. In October, Tsuchiya and her husband, Mark, launched www.storkroom.com. from their home in the Surprise Farms community. .
Lebovitz Says Macy's Not On Horizon At Hamilton Place
A Macy's is not on the horizon at Hamilton Place Mall for the near future, but CBL & Associates is continuing to update the mall and its holdings that now are scattered in 27 states, Alan Lebovitz told the Hixson Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday. "We are not going to get a Macy's any time soon," said Mr. Lebovitz, whose grandfather started the Chattanooga-based firm that has grown to a $10 billion conglomerate. He noted that Hamilton Place once had six anchor department stores and is down to four. Mr. Lebovitz said the closing of the theatre inside the mall will be followed by the move of Barnes and Noble Booksellers in that spot as well as a new restaurant. He said CBL is continuing to look for ways to update its properties, noting that the firm took an old drug store space in the Hamilton Place area and replaced it with Coldwater Creek and other popular new stores.
Michael Pointer: Purdue Q&A
Question: When will the Purdue quarterback actually look off his primary receiver and go through his progressions? From what I saw Saturday, come-heck-or-high-water, Curtis Painter is going to throw to his primary, even if there is a crowd. And, on two of those interceptions, no Boiler receiver was in the area. I haven't seen anyone say that a receiver zigged when he should have zagged. Were those interceptions all on Painter? Quotes from coaches and Painter seem to suggest so. (Mike from Kokomo) Answer: Mike, I have covered four quarterbacks since I've been on the Purdue beat: Brandon Hance, Kyle Orton, Brandon Kirsch and Painter. (I missed having the pleasure of covering Drew Brees.) I heard that complaint about everyone of them, including Orton, who had 31 touchdown passes and just five interceptions as a starter.
