Persuading commuters to carpool up Interstate 95 is not a problem in North Stafford. Workers want to rideshare--catch a van, bus or form instant carpools in slug lines. After all, these alternatives save money, help the environment and offer a break from the stress of driving. But the region is running out of places for people to park at some of the eight Interstate 95 commuter lots between Caroline County and North Stafford. The two Park & Ride lots near Garrisonville are overflowing, according to state and local surveys of commuter spaces. "Parking is just a horrendous problem," said Mark Dudenhefer, a Stafford supervisor who's been trying to expand commuter lots along State Route 610. Some solutions are on the horizon: LEASING SOME LOTS First, there is $150,000 in federal money available to lease parking spaces in North Stafford.

THE NOTE: A Wedding and Some Funerals
The attacks have been flying for months, and Romney offered a hint of what's ahead on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Wednesday: It's a battle over the conservative core. "What will happen across the country is that conservatives will give a good thought to whether or not they want to hand the party's nomination over to Sen. McCain," Romney told ABC's Robin Roberts. "He has not been their champion over the last several years. I think there will be a movement within the Republican Party to coalesce around a conservative candidate." Romney also raised the possibility that former governor Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., would stay in the race primarily to take votes away from him, in an effort to boost McCain's prospects: "Mike Huckabee, of course, might stay in, and that may be one of the reasons he does so, is to try and split that conservative vote." The next battle is set: 8 pm ET Wednesday night in Simi Valley, at the Los Angeles Times/Politico/CNN debate.

Online Retail SEO: Holiday Shopping Seasonality
In the e-commerce world, a new site needs SEO as it moves through many levels of change throughout its life cycle. The difficulty of SEO depends on the market they're in and the competitiveness of their category. For example, if you sell computer parts and accessories, there are several large scale distributors who drop ship everything they sell directly to your customers with your name and logo on the shipping label. This drop ship model is an easy way for a small shop to start selling with the big boys. Global SEO Means Tough Choices There are several catches to joining this club of sellers: Can you sell everything big vendors sell? No. Many manufacturers don't allow non-certified or non-authorized vendors. If you take all of their SKUs/PLUs -- normally known as the item number -- will you rank in the search engines? No.
